I didn’t really miss Japanese food when I was in the states. I rather enjoyed eating all kinds of food like thai and korean. We probably have many foreign restaurants in Kyoto, but I found only a few. I see a lot of indian curry restaurants but korean and thai restaurants are rare here compared to D.C. I miss Haad Thai and Annandale Korean district so bad!!

アメリカにいた時はそんなに日本食が恋しくなることはなく、バクバク色んな国の料理楽しんでました♪w

多分京都にも結構あるんやろうけどあんまり見つけられず・・インド料理はよく見かけるけどwだからアメリカでいっぱい食べてきた！食べ納めや！！

Non-stop Obsession

During my stay, I did some sightseeing. National Cathedral, the National Mall, Chinatown, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery of Art, and the Potomac River… I went to New York City too, but forgot to charge my camera AND left the charger in D.C… typical me :/ It died right away when I got there and I couldn’t take any pictures. How sad.

滞在中、ちょこっと観光しました☆って言っても行ったことあるとこがほとんどやけどw見納めしてきたのよん♡

いっぱい写真撮ってもたwここに載ってるのは選抜されたものだけ。。でも何より残念なのが、NYCに行ったのにカメラ充電すんの忘れてて充電器をDCに忘れて来たこと。。写真を一枚も取れず終わったw

I Finally Landed In…

The only trip I made overseas in the summer was to the U.S. to see my friends.

夏唯一の海外旅行はアメリカ！友達に会いに行ってきました♪

After more than 10 hour long flights and layovers… what welcomed me… was.. PARTY!!!

何時間ものフライトと乗り換えの後、空港で友達と感動の再会をして、待ってたのは・・・

パーティー（・∀・)/！笑

My friend organized my welcome back party at her place and it was awesome : )

友達がセッティングしてくれたの♪ありがたやぁ〜

it was nice to see my friends and catch up with them after being apart for so long!

久々に会えて話してまじ楽しかった！こんなことできるなんて想像してなかったし。。

and I was glad and actually surprised to see how many people showed up!

それにすごいたくさんの人が来てくれてびっくり！嬉しくてはしゃいじゃいました♡

oh and I had to take so many shots…! but, considering my tolerance in alcohol I think I did a pretty good job that night. lol

あぁーそれにしてもよく飲んだw久しぶりなのに容赦なく勧められるショットw

自分の弱さを考えれば結構頑張ったんじゃないでしょうかw

After the drunken night, I had a chiken wing and french fries.

Urban Life Is Not My Style

Fly back to last summer… my friend and I went to Tokyo for sightseeing and shopping!

えぇ時は夏に戻り・・・w　夏に友達と東京観光行ってきました！

I’ve been to Tokyo many times so I thought there wasn’t much left to see… but my exploration hadn’t ended yet.

東京は結構行ったからもう見尽くしたかなって思ってたけど、甘かったね。

まだまだありましたわ。笑

The Ueno Park, prob the biggest park in Tokyo is located in the east side. It’s like the Central Park in New York City, but prob smaller. I always saw it in dramas and movies but had never actually visited before. It was so quiet that I couldn’t believe it was in the middle of the most crowded and noisiest city in Japan.

上野公園は多分東京で一番大きい公園じゃないかな？ニューヨークのセントラルパークみたいに都会には必ず憩いの場があるのかしら？笑

ほんと都会の真ん中とは思えないくらい静かで自然いっぱいでした♪

there’s Ueno Zoo in the park and this is the small kids park next to the zoo.

上野動物園の横にはなんとなくレトロな子供の乗り物がいっぱいあった☆

On the first day, we went to the park and the world largest fish market, Tsukiji Fish Market, Asakusa Temple, and Akihabara where you can find any electronics and anime stuff. We even tried the maid cafe! haha It was awkward surrounded by japanese girls dressed in french maid costume and a-boys whose eyes were glued to the girls… but we had fun.

一日目は、結構観光したねー！上野公園に築地市場、浅草に秋葉原・・・

あ、築地が世界最大って知ってた？びっくり！こんなとこも世界一なんですね、日本って☆

秋葉原はまたメイドカフェに挑戦！wあの雰囲気は絶対慣れないよねーwでも楽しかったw

On the next day, we were gonna go to the Ghibli Museum, but we completely forgot to make a reservation and couldn’t get it :/ so we decided to wonder around Harajuku area and go shopping as I always do when I come to Tokyo.

二日目は三鷹の森ジブリ美術館に行くつもりやったのに・・・予約忘れてたーーー！！

ので、予定変更。

自由が丘と青山、原宿、渋谷でがっつりアーバンライフ楽しみましたw

and we stopped by at an old-fashioned looking cafe but it turned out to be a very famous coffee shop.

自由が丘で入ったカフェが結構コーヒーにこだわりを持つお店でオシャレだったー♪でも紅茶を注文w

チュロスが色んなフレーバーあってまじうますでした♡

I got cute booties from H&M and my trip to Tokyo was full of enjoyment <3

I love Tokyo!! I’m def coming back soon : )

H＆Mでブーツも買えたしー満足♪

東京はやっぱりいいね！！また絶対来るー！

Have you read The Reader by Bernhard Schlink?

『愛を読むひと』って読んだことある？

Kate Winslet on the cover caught my eyes and I got curious what kind of story is hidden behind the cover.

本の表紙がケイト・ウィンスレットだったから面白そうかなぁ〜って買ってみた☆

I was expecting some kind of romantic love story, but it turned out that it was about a depressing and controversial history of Germany and two people caught in the history. The book soon dragged me in and didn’t release me until I finished reading it all. I can’t describe how I felt after reading, but it left me with uncertainty and sadness… If you like Million Dollar Baby and the Green Mile, you will probably like it : )

読んでびっくり！またコテコテのラブストーリーかと思いきや（結構好きw）がっつり重いストーリーでしたw

でもラブストーリーも織り交ぜられててドイツの歴史と複雑に絡み合った感じ。

どっぷり引き込まれちゃってすぐに読み終わっちゃった！

読んだ後すっきりはしないけど、なんか考えさせられる本かな。

その当時を生き抜いた人の葛藤みたいなものを考えさせられた気がする。。

すごい重いイメージ付けちゃったけどおもしろいよ♪笑

ぜひ読んでみてね☆

but all the cities and characters were German, so I couldn’t familiarize myself with the places nor could I read the names. haha but one thing is sure. the book made me want to visit Germany. : P

でも、舞台がドイツだから都市の名前とか登場人物の名前が全然読めなくて苦労した。笑

あぁーでもね、すごいドイツに行きたくなっちゃった♡笑

次の旅行はドイツにしようかしら？ぷぷぷ♡
